Jaw-Dropping Accessories Fresh Off The Paris Couture Runways.
Haute couture is often viewed as spectacle rather than practical wear. But here we are at the end of Paris Couture Fashion Week, thinking of all the things we could wear from designers like Elie Saab and Fendi. If there's one trend we noticed it's that some of our childhood outfits made it down the runway. Remember the Champagne-colored Jessica McClintock gowns from junior prom? Ralph & Russo is trying to make them a thing. Check out the childhood trends that sauntered down the runway and be inspired to play some dress-up this weekend.
Zuhair Murad
Murad gamely offered up his own version of hippie chic, add-ing velvet capes, macramé em-broideries, and thigh-high boots to the mix. Hats gave the show unexpected attitude. “She’s young, modern, and rock, but elegant at the same time,” Mu-rad offered backstage, adding, “She’s also rich. Her dresses are full of jewels, transparency, and tattoo ornamentation.”Murad is renowned for his spectacular bridal gowns. This time, he de-cided to leave classic white by the wayside in favor of an off-the-shoulder dress in latte beige. “I wanted to make it a little bit vintage, like when you look at old photos,” the designer ex-plained. “Boho gypsy chic is all about attitude.”

Giambattista Valli
The collection was far more empire than it was grunge, what with the pouf sleeves, the sweet flower-bud prints, and, yes, the empire waistlines. What was new were the fine jewels—drop earrings, pendant necklaces, and solitaires—all by Buccellati. A shearemb A-line coat was finished with a row of diamond brooch buttons, and the bodices of a pair of dresses were double-wrapped with a long rope of diamonds. Some say Valli and Buccellati is a match made in the couture heaven!

Buccellati proves yet again; diamonds are a girl's best friend anyway!
Versace
“This collection is different for me. I put a lot of attention on draping, and less on embroideries and super-sexy.It was a pronouncement that held up on the runway, where, indeed, Versace toned down the house signature va-va-voom, at least to begin with. The show opened with a dramatic, cinched cashmere coat in blush pink backed in mint green, with one lapel dipping off a bare shoulder over a scarlet bustier gown the same shade as its model Karen Elson’s glitter-painted lips. As for the draping that Versace mentioned, it took many forms, from the asymmetric neckline of an excellent black tailleur, to the swags of fabric that clung to the curves of Bella Hadid’s otherwise demure long-sleeved red sheath, to the floor scraping yards of fabric knotted at the hips of a stretchy, sequined tube dress. Irina Shayk’s sculptural bodice black gown with the hip-grazing slit is headed straight for the red carpet.
