British born John Booth is working his magic of illustrated art over the men’s summer Fendi collection. Working for the famous French fashion house, Booth has formerly studied print design at Central Saint Martins. He has turned many heads and blended art and fashion in his own colourful ways. His creativity first saw day light when he designed a T-shirt with a comical man’s face and bubble saying ‘FENDI’. It was instantly selling across the world!

His work includes vibrant colours, movement and texture, flowery contrasts and also organic designs. The collections hits stores all across on the 30th of March and prior to that they did a prelaunch, John live painted a few of the windows at Harrod’s overlooking the Basil Street, London. Till the 2nd of April, John will be personalising Tees at the Fendi’s Menswear Boutique.

How it works is that Booth sits down in his gallery with some ink and paper and draws out a pattern, which is then handed over to the team who turn that piece into graphics and finish it on the product. “It’s about creativity and playfulness but equally, everything is executed in the most well-constructed, detailed, high-quality way. I could do a quick drawing and the next time I go to Rome they’ll have turned it into an amazing keyring. The whole process is really satisfying.” John Booth, Dazed magazine.

John’s illustrations are all simple lines and about creating something big out of simplicity. He has never attended a formal drawing class but believes that anything that you’re passionate about, comes to you naturally. There’s an energy of colours in the collection, its fresh.
